Forms Checkbox & Protection - Excel 2003

I am creating an excel document with Forms Checkboxes in it. I've unlocked
the forms checkboxes, as well as unlocking the all the cells both within the
checkbox area as well as all around the checkbox area. When I protect the
spreadsheet, I've checked only the "allow users to: select unlock cells,
edit objects"; I've also tried using those two options as well as "edit
scenarios". I keep getting an error message stating that the "cell or chart
is protected....and read only".

How do I protect cells and the spreadsheet while still allowing a forms
checkbox to be checked or unchecked without receiving the error message? I
also wouldn't even begin to know how to write a macro for this (or how to
access them) if this is what is needed. (If at all possible, I'd like to
stay with the forms checkboxes, as they appear better when printing the
spreadsheet.)

I'm betting that you used a linked cell with the checkbox.

If that's true, then make sure that linked cell is unlocked (if the worksheet is
protected).

Oh man, it was that simple. It works perfectly now. Dave, I can't thank you
enough!!!
