Forms don't appear in Access 2002 VBA project

I've encountered an annoying problem with Access 2002: When I create a new
form in a VBA project connected to an Access database, the form is not shown
in the project view of VBA (the window you get through Alt+F11). Existing
forms in other Access files are listed as expected. Newly created modules
ARE shown (it makes no difference if I create a module through the Access
database window or in the VBA project). I'm not sure if reports or queries
should appear in the objects window of the project; I've never dealt with
those before. Anyway, they don't show up in the list.

In the past, new forms were always displayed in the project window. Access
somehow got messed up, I think. How do I repair this? Uninstalling and
reinstalling Office completely didn't help. Could there be something wrong
with Windows XP Home itself? I hope not...

Any help will be appreciated!

Do you need to give the form a code module for it to show up in the
(relatively) new IDE?

TC,

I followed your hint and indeed the form shows up in the IDE! So as long as
no code is associated with the form, it doesn't get displayed in the IDE,
right?

I still don't know what caused this MS Access / VBA behaviour to change all
of a sudden. Must be one of those sneaky automatic updates...

Thanks a lot for helping me out!

Hi Dootje

Access 2000 was the first version of Access that shared the same VBA
IDE as used in other Office products (Word, Excel etc.). I vaguley
remembered reading something about this behaviour, in that IDE. In the
previous IDE (Access 97 & earlier), a form or report /did not/ need any
code behind it, to show up in the relevant window.

Cheers,
TC
