Forms in ADP behave differently to regular Access

Form ( datasheet view) created against a table in an Access Project behaves
differently to regular Access. If you sort a column & then start to update
one of the values, Access Project immediately undoes the sort and row
pointer moves you back to unsorted position in the table , whereas in
regular access you can update any value and you stay in same row in table
even though new value may be in wrong position in sorted column.
Access 2000 on XP with SQL2000 DB.
Any ideas?
