Forms in Word

Jen

Hi there, I've made a form in Word using the Control
Toolbox and therefore VB option buttons, text boxes, etc.
It all works well except that when I try to save the form
without the design control toolbar AND protect it so I can
send it to people to fill in, it won't let me access any
of the fields as a user to fill it in!! What did I do
wrong?
Help?

Hi Jen,

Usually, this is a sign that the macro security
(Tools/Macros/Security) is set to "High" instead of "Medium"
or "Low". The macro security reacts to the VB elements of
these controls, and if macro security is set to high they'll
be locked out - and the Control Toolbox will appear with
Design View activated.

If you want to use this with high security settings, you'll
need to sign the VBA project of the file with a digital
signature, which then has to be "trusted" on the users'
machines.
