Forms issues

I am attempting to create a form in Word but am
experiencing all sorts of roadblocks. To put it simply,
after I've created what appears to be a beautiful form
with all the entries and design just the way I want it to
be, when you go back to try to enter info in the various
form fiels, the adjacent text shifts. By adjacent I mean
let's say on one line in the form I have three form fields
that will need to be completed by the user. Even if I set
the limits in terms of amount of text/numbers, etc., that
are allowed in the field, when it is being filled in, the
next item begins to shift over. I realize there must be
something I can do to prevent this, but can't figure it
out. When designing the form, again still speaking about
fields on one line (sharing the same line on the page, I
use tabs to enter the next or adjacent field. This causes
the field to shift when filling in the prior form field.
Is this making any sense? In other words, I want to be
able to design my form, have the user hit the tab key and
go to the next field without the designed form shifting
around. What can I do? This is a big project and I am
running out of time to get it completed for work. Help.

Amanda,

Put your fields in table cells. If you don't want the lines to show then
format the table without borders.

Here is a reference that might make your task easier:

article are very good resources.
