Forms Problems?

T

I have a CheckBox in an Excel spreadsheet. The Check Box does not print, or even show up in the Print Preview. The Text created with it from the Forms Toolbar prints just fine. (MacBook Pro with Leopard 10.5.1, Excel 2008 for Mac.)

Anybody heard of any problems with this feature? Any workarounds?

Have you selected the checkbox, formatted it and selected Print in the
properties section?

I am having the same problem with the same setup. (MacBook Pro with Leopard 10.5.1, Excel 2008 for Mac.) The check box is formatted and the print object is selected.

Does anyone have a resolution for this? This is very frustrating.

I also am on a MacBookPro with 10.5.1 and Excel 2008. Check boxes, option
buttons and spinners from the forms palette all show up in print preview and
print on paper. Check to make sure you are using the latest print driver and
that the print resolution is properly set.

All the drivers are current but it still doesn't print the check boxes, blank or checked.

What could it be?

What about printer resolution. Try changing that and see what happens.

It's set at the highest resolution, but I have tried all of the options available and nothing works.

OK, I've just tried one of the forms from the Elements Gallery and the check boxes that are in those will print, but when I try to create my own those still won't print.

I have a nother problem. I have a form with check boxes in Office 2004. I used to be able to switch to drawing mode and select, copy etc. Seems I cannot even select them. If I use the drawing selection it does not pick it up. What am I missing?

Yes, to all. formatted, print selected, printer drivers latest.

This file worked correctly in Excel for Mac 2004, but does not Preview or Print in 2008!

Still no luck! All updates current. Tried all print quality options in Page Setup. Even reset the printing system in Leopard before reinstalling printers. (Drivers for HP pre-installed on Leopard. Confirmed latest version on HP website.) Still will not print check boxes. Anybody found a solution?

I am having the same exact problem. It doesn't matter what printer I try to print to, all check boxes print blank. This is on 10.4.11 with Excel at 12.0.1.

What a gem Office 2008 has been...
