Forms with Crosstab record source

T

Thomas Kroljic

All,
Is it possible to have a form with a record source using a crosstab
query?
Based on some of my readings, it appears that it is not as simple as I
thought
it would be. Is it true that the form needs to know the number of columns
ahead
of time?

What are folks doing it they wish to use data from a crosstab query as the
record source (data) for a Access (2002) form?

Is it easier to build a temp table with the data returned from a crosstab
query and then
have the form use the data from the temp table?

Any insight, tip, suggestions on working with a crosstab query and forms
would be greatly
appreciated.

Thank you,
Thomas J. Kroljic

Hi,

The easiest way would be to specify the Column Headings property of the
query, which is to supply explicitly the list of the fields that would be
generated (the problem is that ONLY those will be generated) by the
crosstab. Once it is done, you can use the wizard to make a report, even a
chart, based on that crosstab.

Hoping it may help
