FORMS with repeated data entry i.e. student name

J

Javier Medina

Hi, my name is Javier and I've designed a templated form for a Social Worker. This form includes several drop down menus, fill in blocks and the form is protected. Here is the problem, how do I make it enter data automaticaly such as student name in several pages as well as Case number? I am trying to avoid to enter by typing each and every tiem the same data

Thanks

Javier

Insert REF fields containing the name of the form field (that is, the
"Bookmark" entry in the form field's Properties dialog). Also, be sure
the form field property "Calculate on exit" is checked, so the REF
fields will update properly.

Jay,
thanks for the help. I tried but was not succesful.

I did what you said. I entered in the fill-in block's properties in the Field Settings Bookmark: "TEXT40" I also checked the "Calcualte on exit"
Then I did the same in the following fill-in block by entering the same exact thing i.e. Field Settings Bookmark: "TEXT40" I also checked the "Calcualte on exit" I tested unsuccesfully. Please advise, this is what I am trying to do. I want to have a student name i.e. JAVIER MEDINA enter by the user only once and then in each instance where the name field is in the FORM. I would like to have WORD enter that same name "JAVIER MEDINA: in the field automatically

Additionally, I have not been able to use spell check while the form is protected. Why is that? How can I have the spell check work under a protected FORM document

Again, thanks for the help

JAVIER MEDIN

If you want I can email you my form...let me know

You need a form field only for the first occurence of the data. Where you
want the data repeated, do not insert a form field; instead use Insert |
Cross-reference to Bookmark: Bookmark Text, selecting TEXT40 as the
bookmark.
