There are three different methods for creating numbered copies of the same
document spelled out at these links. The first one, using Data Merge will
certainly let you choose the starting number and will certainly work on a
Mac. The other two use macros and I cannot remember if they have been
tested on a Mac, you may need to experiment on a COPY a bit. However, it's
not exactly clear what you are doing, so if none of them seem to fit your
needs, explain a bit more what you are doing with the form. There may be a
simpler way.
Also, always state Word and OS versions!
