Formual appears in cell, but result is not displayed

This occurred in three adjacent cells. Cells in rows direcly above or belos
or cells in adjacent columns displayed data correctly.

Sounds like those cells are formatted as text. Try changing the cell format
back to General, then re-entering the formulas (hit F2 then Enter).

Have to agree on that one as I also address that same situation that an
internal customer was attempting yesterday, but only in this case, it was
with numerous cells. Unless it's something that a copy and paste can fix
fairly easily, it's also been a situation when I would have to use VBA to
resolve those larger number of cells by accessing the formula property of
such cells, as I would not be about to be pressing the "F2" and "Enter" keys
numerous times. Of course, the format bit would have to be done first.
