Formula at Consolidation Level but across sub-project plan data

I want to quick RAG rate some milestones across 30 different plans that I
have inserted into a Master plan for this purpose. Must the formula I want
eg comparing Baseline Finish versus Finish be embedded in the sub-projects or
can I do this just in the Master Project ?

Also could someone remind me how I aggregate RAG values to summary level and
all the way upto the Project Summary Task?

Steve,
For the benefit of the uninitiated, what is "RAG"?

Formulas in custom fields have to be at the subproject level.

We apply formulas of RAG (we call them Stop LIghts) on Schedule Performance
Index (SPI) and Cost Performance INdex (CPI). Since these are Project
fields, they calculate and are presented at all levels including the summary
level for you.

To set a graphical indicator, insert a custom field such as Text1. Right
click on the field, select Customize Fields. In the dialog that opens,
there is a graphical indicator button. That button will expose a window
where you can set some formulars such as CPI>0.95 show Green, etc. It is
pretty intuitive once you get there.

The Text1 indicator will display regardless even if the SPI or CPI columns
are hidden. You can apply this same logic to any other formula values you
may use, just set the custom formula to also calculate on the summary rows in
the custom fields dialog box.

Steve,
You're welcome. It looks like Jim answered your question on rollup of
indicators.
