Formula Displayed in the Cell

My daughter wanted me to amalgamate 3 columns of text
into one.

No problem so far I said type "=concatenate
(k2," ",L2," "M2)
into J2 and replicate it down the column.
She did that and Excel displayed the formula duly
adjusted all the way down column J .
I know early spreadsheets, Visicalc2 Suprecalc 2 etc had
a Formula Display mode but I cannot find any referencer
to it or anything similar in MSExcel help.

Hi Mike,
You can toggle between normal and formula view with
Ctrl+` (accent grave or whatever is to left on 1 in number row)
or from tools, options, view, formula view

Also check that you have calculation on automatic
tools, options, calculation (tab), calculation: automatic
