I need help with a formula to extract the last name from this example:

(e-mail address removed)

What I am looking for is "Smith", which will always be between "." and "@".

=MID(A1,SEARCH(".",A1) + 1,SEARCH("@", A1) - SEARCH(".",A1) - 1)
