Formula in Portfolio Analyzer

O

Oliver

I have a general question:
How can I express calculated results between two different projects in
Portfolio Analyzer.
For example I wand to compare the actual work from project A to the actual
work in project B in an new calculated field.
How can such formula look like? Is this generally possible?

Thanks for your help

I think you would need to export the PivotTable to Excel to perform a
calculation such as this. Hope this helps.

Hi Oliver,

Dales suggestion is a good way, since it will give you the Excel
functionality as well.

If you are after a calculated value within the Portfolio Analyser you can
achieve this by using the "Calculated Totals and Fields" Icon which you can
find on the tool bar of the Portfolio anlyaser.
When you click on the icon and click on "create calculated Total", you can
generate your own calculations under the "Calculation Tab".

Please note, you will probably need to know a little bit about MDX
statements, but I am sure you will be able to figure out some things. Just
use the drop down window of "Insert Refernece to" and use the normal
formulars you would use in Excel. This may bring you closer to your goal.
Hope this helps
