formula in word document

I am pulling date field from quickbooks into a word document, so if my date
in quickbooks is 12/16/08 I need the date in word to be 90 days in advance
and rounded to the nearst date of the 1st or 16th so that my date would be
3/16/09 or if my date was 1/6/09 that my date will be 4/1/09 which is closer
than the 16th of the month.

I checked out your website, but it was a little to complicated for me, I am
just a novice when it comes to word, I was hoping for just a quick formula
and steps to implement it, sorry I wish I knew more about using the program.

To see how to do this and just about everything else you might want to do with dates in Word, check out my Date Calc 'tutorial', at:

or
http://www.gmayor.com/downloads.htm#Third_party
In particular, look at the item titled 'Date and Time Calculations In A Mailmerge'. Do read the document's introductory material.

Hi nativeutah,

It can't get any simpler than what I've supplied - most date calculations in Word are very complicated - and your rounding
requirements make it more so.

How do you get your data from quickbooks? Do you have to export to a
delimited file format first, or what?
