formula needed for payroll work sheet

Please help!

Can I write a formula to get a cell on a worksheet to look at or get
information from a designated cell on the privious worksheet in the
same workbook. ie. to add a number from January to a number in
February, then have March look for info in February etc, with out
having to rewrite the formula for each month.
