hi,
Example:
i'm using three work sheets, each which contains three simular tables, each for one month of the year (1/3 period)...
each table has three columns, COLUMN A, COLUMN B & COLUMN C.
COLUMN A contains a unique number (example. 1, 2, 3 etc.)
COLUMN B contains the age of the persion (example. 30, 41, 65 etc.)
COLUMN C contains the person's gender (example. Male or Female)
Know, i need a formula that look at the unique number and the persons corresponding gender, and add 1 to the total... (the formula will be on another page that will only contain these results, such as: How many males are there over the 3 months?)
taking into consideration that if the the unique number appears in all three tables (months), that it is only 1 added to the total and not 3.
hopefull this is easy to understand, if you have any more questions, please ask and i'll reply as soon as i receive the message.
thank you for your help
