formula prints out instead of figures which are on the screen

The formula for total of figures in a column shows up on screen as a figure
but in VIEW it only shows the formula used in brackets and prints out formula
used in brackets NOT the figure I have typed in.

Marika,
Check in Tools - options - print tab - in the inclusive section see if there
is a check next to field codes.
