Confused at Work

Looking to do a baseball spreadsheet to keep track of my teams progress in
the upcoming season.

THERES MY CHART WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE SO FAR, PLAYER NAMES, PLAYER JERSEY
NUMBERS, AND THEIR STATS, SINGLES, DOUBLES, HOE RUNS... ETC... I WANT ON
ANOTHER SECTION OF THE PAGE UPDATE THE INFORMATION TO WHO HAS THE MOST
SINGLES OR DOUBLES ETC, I WAN TTHEIR NAME AND THEN IN A SEPERATE CELL THEIR
STAT. i CAN GET THEIR STAT OVER THERE THE HIGHEST, BUT I WANT THEIR NAME
OVER THERE TOO.... PLEASE HELP ME.

What should happen if more than one player leads in a particular category?
For example, both player 14 and 7 have 10 HRs.

If you know how ot do the information then we could do the top three players
in all statistics..

It can be kind of invovled. A top 3 list could be more than 3 when you
consider ties. For example:

Most HR's

10
10
10
10
8
8
8
7
7
7
7

In this case your top 3 is actually 11.

I'll put together a sample file later this evening when I have more time.

Ok, here's the sample file that demonstrates this.

I've used named ranges in the formulas. The formula in column H is an array
formula**. You'll notice that even though you want the top 3 there are 5
players list. This is due to ties.

** array formulas need to be entered using the key combination of
CTRL,SHIFT,ENTER (not just ENTER)
