The way I have my project set up, if I enter a percent
complete in one of my tasks, the % complete for that
phase will not calculate. My boss has it set up this
way, with additional date fields. Adding more date
fields screwed up certain fields. This is the way it has
to be and I have to work with this. Anyway, how can I
add a function to a cell to calculate the average of the
percent complete? I can't even find in the help how to
add a function. The help file gives me what each
function is, but not how to apply it to a cell.

HELP!

Hi,

Add a formula via Tools, Customize, Fields. Add a number field, EG Number1
and make the formula [Actual Duration]/[Duration]*100. You just need to do
this for summary tasks.

Hi Karen,

Rod told you hw to enter a formula for a FIELD (all cells in teh column)
Don't look for a formula in an individual cell: it simply isn't there.
It's by field.
