Can I set up a table so that it automatically calculates a
formula, like Excel, or do I need to manually enter the
formula each time? Thanks!

with your cursor in the cell
tables -> formula -> then type in your formul

you will need to save the document if you want to be able to reuse it.

You can insert an Excel Spreadsheet into a Word document instead of using a
Word table, or use formfields in the table.

I've tried using Formfields, and they work once when I
enter a formula, but when I erase the data and then enter
new data, the field does not calculate. I'm trying to
create an invoice that calculates amount X price = total
price. For example, I use the formula =A2*D2 and I get the
proper amount, but then I enter new amounts and my formula
disappears. Thanks for the help.

Check the Calculate on Exit box for the formfields that contribute to the
result.
