Forward/Reply icons show intermitantly

I see that this problem has been occuring for a few years now with no real
explanation as to it's cause. Maybe someone will resond with the answer.

We have noticed that after forwarding an email to another Exchange Server
2003 account, the forward icon will sometimes not appear on the forwarded
email nor will there be any info. bar indicating it's status. Here are some
details:

* Everyone on our network is using Outlook 2003 connecting to a 2003
Exchange Server. This is the only account type used. No POP3, MSN or
Hotmail accounts.
* For example, two seperate emails received with 20 minutes of each other
from the same external email address can be forwarded also within 20 minutes
of each other to an account that is on the same Exchange Server as me and one
will show the forward icon and the other will not. Although this isn't
always the case. Sometimes they will all show the icon.
* Word 2003 is our email editor and no special forms are being used to my
knowledge.

Any ideas?

No. I don't think any of the MVP's can figure it out. This one seems to be
real challenging. Do you have the same problem?

Yes. Like you said, it is random. The first thing Microsoft told me is to disable all add-ins. However, it may be weeks before the issue shows again.

We are using Outlook 2003 and Exchange 2003.
