forwarded emails with animations become static - why?

Please help. When I forward an email I have received with moving animations,
they become static, in both my outbox and sent box and also to the receiver.
Please can someone tell me why this happenss

hi leo,

i had heard that outlook doesnot support .gif files (i.e. animation files),
however outlook express which part of your winxp does support.

Please wait for others to reply, may be some changes in SP or any add-in,
iam not sure though.
