I have searched postings for this issue which may be covered but I have no
idea how to word the search.
I have two separate users on two separate networks with the same issue. They
have an (e-mail address removed) account which is a shared exchange account. the
"administrator" types there have asked me to also use mail forwarding to
forward a copy of all messages sent to the "info@" email to their account.
Now, these two users, in addition to being forwarded on messages, for some
reason have added the Info@ mailbox as an additional mailbox in their outlook
profile (both 2003 appropriately patched, both connecting to Exchange 2003
SP1 on SBS 2003 Premium). Why they need it to forward to their inbox and to
go to the Info mailbox under their outlook account is beyond me but this is
what they want.
Here's the situation, if forwarding is set up then the mail only goes to the
user's Inbox, it does not show up in the INFO mailbox in their outlook
account. Keep in mind that if they log into the INFO account the messages are
there because the forwarding is set up to send them a copy, not just forward
the message.
Can any one think of a reason why, for these users, the messages would not
show up under both boxes with their Outlook set up as is? I personally think
it's redundant and silly but the clients pay the bills so they're always
'right'
TIA,
Nancy
