forwarding a v-card with info intact

When I save a v-card and send it to another person in my office, after they
have saved it and then open it again, the information, with the exception of
the information in the fields, does not transfer. This just started
happening. Doesn't matter if we save it as a new entry or not. Does anyone
have any ideas on this? Any solutions?
