Forwarding email problems

Hi,

For some reason or other I am no longer able to forward emails. I open the
original email, press the forward button, type in the email address and press
Send. The email then goes into my outbox and just sits there. I've tried
pressing Send and Receive and whilst I can send and receive new messages, any
emails that I "forward" just stay in the outbox. Any ideas as to what the
problem could be (this has only started happening recently)? I'm running
Outlook 2003 on XP
