Forwarding Outlook messages (Windows) to Entourage (Mac)

Hi all,

I am in the process of trying to forward my messages from Outlook on
my work laptop (an IBM) to Entourage on my iBook G4. Our organization
uses an Exchange server, but currently an error page is displayed when
I log into my account. So I've been forwarding my messages manually
as attachments, then copying and pasting the attachments when the
messages are downloaded in Entourage.

It's been working so far, but now I receive an error message, "the POP
server returned an unexpected reply to a command that Entourage
issued," with the explanation, "could not retrieve mail." The error
number is -16999.

Any explanations, solutions or other helpful thoughts would be much
appreciated!

from Outlook into Entourage; this might be more convenient than forwarding
all the messages individually:

Have a look at the solutions listed under "Other options to convert", you
should find them very useful.

Hi Kait!

Do you realize that you're connecting Entourage to your Exchange Server
as a POP client and not as an Exchange client?

From your message I can't tell if you're trying to use your Mac from
inside your company network or outside, but you most likely can connect
your Entourage from either location. This would keep you from having to
forward messages.
