FP 2000 Problems with Office XP Small Business on Windows XP Pro

Rol Miller

Dear Folks,

Having a problem where I have installed FP 2000 on the
above system. When I open up my website through my
network connections, I get the dreaded "Frontpage has to
close and is sorry for any inconvenience" message. Any
ideas? All service pack updates have been installed...

Thanks,
Rol Miller

Dear Kathleen,

Thanks for the tip. Interestingly enough when tried
opening through your technique, it worked like a charm.
Cool. It may seem weird, but I usuallu just go through a
short cut I have in my network places. Thanks a ton!

Try
1) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all FP Temp Files
2) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all hidden *.web files
3) In Windows Explorer Delete the network places shortcut
4) Then Open the web in FP (per above posts) for FP to recreate the network places shortcut
