FP 2000 shows cached page when opening file again in same session

Hi all,

Frontpage 2000 seems to have a cache where it stores pages. The
problem is that when you load a page you worked on earlier, FP just
loads the older version. This can be quite disconcerting when the
changes were minor or are not visible in WYSIWIG.

Is there a way to get around this problem? We have build FP 2000 build
4.0.2.3821.

Regards,

Thomas

With FP closed, search for *.web files for Start Menu | Find Files.

Closing Frontpage obviously is a workaround, but I was looking for a
way to not have this problem when working in one Frontpage session. By
the way, we do not use Frontpage extensions on our pages.

Even if you don't use any functions in your pages that require the FP
run-time extensions, FP still uses the design-time extensions to manage your
content within your local web and will create the .web files and place
temporary files in the FrontPage Temp folder under your Windows Temp folder.

However I have never seen the cache issue you mentioned, and I use FP2000
for all development work under Windows XP Home.
