Good Morning Folks,
Please bear with me as I'm not well versed in all of this technical stuff.
Over the past 4 years, I've been managing a website, created in frontpage for
our little alumni club. It's nothing fancy, but has a couple forms for
feedback requests and stuff. Everything had been working great. Up until a
few days ago, when we switched host providers. We went from a more expensive
outfit to godaddy.com, which is a less costly hosting provider. We revised
everything with our domain name at network solutions, so that it now points
to the godaddy.com name servers or whatever, so thats fine. I've enabled the
frontpage server extensions on our account at godaddy.com.
But now when I try to publish to the site with frontpage (which I had no
problems with before), it gives me the standard "frontpage server extensions
not enabled error" right away after I type in the address to publish to of
www.ohiostatealumnichicago.org. It doesn't even give me a chance to enter a
username or password or anything. It cuts right to it right away. I talked
this with godaddy.com and their side apears to be fine. I've cleaned out my
cache on internet explorer and everything and still nothing. I'm wondering if
frontpage is trying to post to the old host provider? Help!
Please note I was able to ftp to my account through internet explorer and
have since posted a little html file I created in notepad to hold our club
over until I can publish this "web" from fp 2000.
Can anyone help me with this? Have any of you had this problem?
Thanks in Advance
