FP 2002 Button Question

In FP2002, how does one create partially shaded buttons like those seen in
the Outlook 2003 Navigation Pane for Mail, Calendar, Contacts, etc.

I will greatly appreciate your help on this.

Hello, Stefan;

I have Digital Image Pro 10. Would that be an appropriate graphics image
editor to create buttons? If not, could you suggest another program?
