From the edit menu, both the find dialogue and the replace dialogue box do
not show up.

These dialogue boxes show up in the other Office programs like Word and
Excel.

Have tried repairing and updating with no result.

Help!

Go here: http://www.95isalive.com/fixes/fpclean.htm and download FP Cleaner ( with
Expression Web Designer and SharePoint Designer support )
Download links are at the bottom of the page.
Run the function that: Restores the Default Toolbars and Menus.

The Find and the Replace items are visible under the Edit menu item but when
they are clicked the dialogue boxes fail to appear. Nothing is greyed out.
It acts like the dialogue is there but invisible.

Ah. I bet it's "off screen" I've heard of this before.

Close FrontPage.

Click Start > Run and type: regedit
and click OK.
Click plus signs to go here:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\FrontPage\Explorer\FrontPage Explorer\Settings
In the right panel will be a Value Name: FRDlgPos or simply FRDlg

Right click the value name and select Modify.
Clear the data that appears in the Value Data: textbox in the Edit String dialog that
opens.
Click Ok and close the registry editor.

Open FrontPage and see if the find replace dialog is back where it should be.

Thank you, thank you. Fixed it.

My wife especially thanks you as it was her copy of FP that was affected.

BTW, she is an expert in online University education. You might want to see
