Fearless
I'm using FP 2002 (XP) under Windows XP to maintain a website that has been
ongoing for nearly two years. I used FP 98 to develop it initially and
upgraded to FP 2002 more than 18 months ago. Everything has been going
great since -- until last week.
Sometime last week, the program developed amnesia. Although it is supposed
to open the last web (and has forever, until last week), it now opens with a
new web each time. I have to manually open the last web. I've made NO
changes to any of the program options in more than a year. Where did the
last web go?
In addition, I use(d) the FP 2002 ftp client to upload changes to the
webpage. Again, since last week, I've been getting a really strange
error -- error 421 time out connection closed -- whenever I try to publish a
page. Again, I've changed nothing and so this refusal of the ftp client to
work properly (actually to work at all) is bewildering. Since last week
I've had to use an external ftp client to upload changed pages to my site --
a monumental p*i*t*a.
Anyone have any idea what might have gone wrong here? What connection is
there between the forgotten web page and the broken ftp client? I'm
stumped.
Thanks.
