I created a website using FP2002, back in 2003,and sucessfully launched a
site http://rugbywhiteside.tripod.com. It was a free site and everything went
as it should. Given that I knew little about these things then I was
surprised that it presented so well. It was in the order of 4.5 megabytes. In
recent times I have updated and finished the work with many photographs that
the original did not have. Today the size of the client serveris 18.5 mb.
To accomodate the extra size I have upgraded and this now allows 100mb.
Now that I try to uploaed this new version, it goes through the motions,
with flying transfeanimation, locks on a given file and then spews out a
message (not always the same) but mostly this one.
The server sent a response which FrontPage could not parse. If you are
trying to connect FP server, check with server administrator to make sure the
FP server extensions are installed properly.
I have contacted Lycos/Tripod to no avail and have wrestled for weeks with
this problem. I am 74 and a lot of these instructions are 'goobly-gook' to
the uninitiated.
All I want to do is to get the site republished and get on with other issues.
It goes without saying that any solution would be gratefully appreciated.
