I have been managing an academic/research site since 1995 and have recently
encountered a problem in FP 2003 with saving. I can open my site
and make simple edits, but if I edit hyperlinks, when I save, it behaves as
though it saves, but the changes are not on the server. Then if I try to save
again, it gives me a dialog box saying 'a newer version of this file exists
would you like to overwrite it.' If I say yes, the changes are NOT saved. I
can, however, save the changes as a new file.
This has stumped my IT people and even persisted from an old install to a
fresh XP professional sp3 install (though I did import my old profile etc)
I use MS forefront security in a networked university environment.
Thanks
