I've exhausted all the fixes for this issue on my end:
When I try to publish my FrontPage site, I've started getting an error
saying "Server error: Cannot close file .index.htm.tmp" and various
permutations of that error message. I've tried all the fixes - deleted temp
files, deleted temp files from the fp temp directory, cleared my cache,
emptied the recycle bin, went to Tools | Site Settings and deleted Temp
Files via the button there, then Recalculated Hyperlinks at Tools |
Recalculate Hyperlinks - this actually worked for a few uploads, then the
problem resurfaced.
There are absolutely no files named .index.htm.tmp ANYWHERE on the machine.
I just emailed my provider and asked them to run a check and fix -- any
ideas in the meantime? I can FTP ok and have a presentation to make to a
very important prospective client at 11 this morning....so I'm limping along
trying to get their demo site in shape.
