FP-2003 running in Win2000 SP4, all fully updated.
FP seems to have a small issue with the dual core (AMD X2 Toledo)
environment. The only trouble is when I go to create a link to a file in the
local web. About 3/4 of the time, I get an error message, Windows or FP (in
the Explorer pane for links) errors and tells me the file is in use by
another process. I can go past this by backing our of the local directory,
one level, then go back in.
If I set FP affinity to one core only in tack manager, problem is gone.
Has anyone run into such an issue? Any work around? Any way to set FP to
always load with affinity to one core?
I've read a couple articles about Win2000 having minor issues with dual core
systems, but this is the only program that's had any trouble at all. In
general, the system is a screamer, and rock stable. I do a lot of work in
FP, so it's kind of a pain.
TIA
