FP 2003 - Include subweb (subsite) in publish

D

David Seguin

I know I saw this checkbox the other day, but now I can't find it again - I
want to include subwebs (now called subsites) when I publish the parent
site.

Does anyone know where that option is?

ps - incidentally, what's with the Tools>Customize, Tools>Site Settings,
Tools>Options, Tools>Page Options options? Shouldn't these all be a little
better consolidated? One of my biggest pet peeves with FP

Thank you, Mr. Willett.

File | Publish Site. Then, after inputting your password information, the
split screen comes up. Just above the remote web site, there is a
"Optimize Published HTML"...click on it. Click on the "Publishing" tab, and
choose your preferences.

o Tools Customize configures toolbars and menus. This
menu choice and the resulting dialog box appear
virtually unchanged in every Office program.

o Tools Site Settings configures options for the current
Web site.

o Tools Options configures settings that affect the
overall operation of FrontPage. This parallels the
Tools Options menu choice in most other Office programs.

o Tools Page Options configures options that affect
the way FrontPage creates Web pages, now matter which
site you're working on.

Not being an Office user, these options have always confused me.

Here's my suggestion:

Go to Tools> Options

In there are 4 choices:

Toolbars (formerly "Customize")
Current Site (formerly "Site Settings")
All Sites ("Page Options")
FrontPage (formerly "Options")

Or something a little clearer.
