FP 2003 sharepoint etc. publishing errors

I've about had it with yahoo. Every time I try to publish, I get errors
"the server could not complete your request....blah blah blah
404 not found http:// was not found on this serve
Also a 500 error (forgot the text
FrontPage cannot pars
How about this one. "The web does not exist, would you like fp to create a web at that location? I answer yes, then another error that says ...../thedirectory already exists. Oh what fun
Disabled sharepoint, no change. Hours with their tech support (5 different techies), no help, they blame fp 2003.

I take care of another site that is hosted very affordable (cheap), and I have absolutely NO problems with it using fp2003
This has been going on for over a week now. GRRRRRRR. Any ideas out there?

Move the site to the host that you are not have any problems with.

Unfortunately my employer insists on using Yahoo. Something about stocks and shares and markets etc.
Did I miss anything in the setup T.A.R.?

I would say no, as you have indicated that you can open/publish to another
web host using FP2003, so that eliminate any issue based on your local
configuration or internet connection.

Make sure you are publishing to an actual URL in FP
- not a virtual location on Yahoo
Often w/ free hosts
http://www.you.them.com/
is really something like
http://www.them.com/you/
or
http://www.them.com/fp/yourID/

PS - tell your boss he gets what he pays for

This is a commercial site with a "real" URL. Yahoo says "not" to use www in the URL, only http: // mydomain.xxx
One thing I forgot to mention is they were blaming fp 2003, but a techie tried fp 2002 from his machine and it had the same problems. I'll keep bugging them until it's right

FP always prefers http://www.mydomain.xxx
The server DNS should be mapped for www or not

Do a Trace Route from the command line on the URL they gave you to see if in deed it is an actual url or virtual. Just because it is a real url address doesn't mean that it isn't a virtual address on their server. FrontPage hates virtual addresses and IPs.
