FP 2003 Will Not Publish Files

I recently installed Vista Home Premium. When I try to publish files to my
web sites, I get a message saying that I do not have permission to do this
operation. I have turned off the firewall, the security software and the
user accounts and I still get the same message. Can anyone help, please?
Thanks.

Did you upgrade your machine from Windows XP, that already had a copy of FP installed and your web
site?

How did your web site files get onto this new machine? If the change to a dual boot with FP and the
web site files already on the machine, you may have problems, since you most likely will need to
re-install FP under Vista, however I am not sure how you are going to be able to have Vista create a
registry entry for the site, so that you have permissions in both Vista and Windows XP, if I
understand correctly.

To: Thomas,

I installed FP 2003 under Vista and had my web sites on an external HD.
But, I unstalled the FP 2003 under Vista and re-installed under Vista and it
seems to be working okay now. Thanks for the reminder Thomas, I should have
thought of that myself. Have a great day and thanks again.
