FP as an editor only??

I like FP as a web editing document, but I'm not a big fan of the themes,
navigation bar, button bs, and all the other stuff. My web site is pretty
simple, and always will be. Before I do anything rash, is it possible to do,
say, four or five pages and just link them together with my own buttons? In
other words, I wouldn't use any of the FP extras, I'd use it as a web
editing document only.

Look forward to any advice.

Regards,

Bryan

Absolutely! I use FP (2000) but only use it as a basic editor myself,
adding my own buttons, headings etc. Of course using it in this fashion,
you don't really see the full potential of the program. FP has a tremendous
amount of wonderful options and items to use, making a potential website
rate up there with many of the great ones. Me, I just didn't have the time
to sit down and learn all the bells and whistles as I only wanted it to make
a basic website.

Thanks for the advice - I'm not knocking the program; I just run into
trouble aligning everything together. It's much easier for me conceptually
to just link the pages and ignore all that "My Web" crud.

I'm studying MS FP myself at the moment. I think, that it is looking
very interisting, and that just to do a '.doc -> .html' conversion
would be much to boring. I hope that MS FrontPage is a good tool for
both the 'pro' and the 'XP Home User', and I think that is possible to
use both as a 'home user' and as a 'Pro User'.

Just study it for a while, and it will become just quite intuitive to
use.
