Fp extensions conversion 2003 what happens/

H

Healing

Hi
Our web guy works with Dreamweaver. When we both post we break the
extensions. Apparently FP2003 doesnt use extensions. Would upgrading solve
our problem? We dont want to lose our search function etc which needs the
extensions to operate at this point would they operate extension free in 2003?

Thanks...my other alternative is learning dreamweaver sigh!

Thanks

As long as you open or publish with FP to http://www.domainname.com you will not break the
extensions, however using FTP in most case will corrupt the FP extensions from any application,
including FP.

Is the Dreamweaver guy publishing using ftp://??
If so he is breaking the extensions every time he publishes.

FrontPage 2003 does not ship with extensions, but will work with the
FrontPage 2002 extensions. You can download and install on your local box to
sync with the server and not munge your Dreamweaver friend.

Dreamweaver can munge up FrontPage extension stuff, however, so be careful
there.

NOt sure I answered your question.
