FP not asking for username-password

Hello,
I use FP 2000 and now when I open my site to edit it
doesn't ask for my username and password, just opens the
page for editing. However, the page doesn't have the
shared borders, and it won't save.
Can someone / anyone shed some light on this? I've
rebooted my monster twice, no luck.

I am having the same problem - not asking for my user name
or password. This started Aug 14.
