FP not syncing with web site

B

Bob Whitehead

This is a multi-part question. I'm having some problems
with my XP Pro machine, and will be rebuilding it
probably next week and going to FP 2003. However, in the
mean time, I'm getting wierd messages when I try to
publish an updated page. I get a message that says there
is no web at the specified site, and it asks me if I want
FP to create one. Well, there certainly is a web at
that site (www.vbcodehead.com), and I don't know what to
respond. I don't know if that will just resync
everything, or royally screw up everything there.

Also, when I go to FP2003, is there anything special I
need to know about relinking or resync-ing with the web
site?

Thanks,

Bob

Have you tried the usual fixes??
Close FrontPage.
Use search for files and enter *.web click
Search and delete all that it finds.
Then search for *.tmp and delete all found.
Then clear your browser History Cache and Cookie files.

Reopen FrontPage and then try.
Also, try opening the site using
http://vbcodehead.com with out the www.
www is redundant and not really needed.
