FP03 Site Settings

Hello,

I'm using FP03 on winXPpro. When I go to

Web Site - Site Settings - Advanced - Options

and un-check the "Show hidden files and folders" it has no effect. I
can still see hidden files even after I do an F5 refresh.

Can anyone suggest what I may be doing wrong?

Thanks

FP hidden folders start with an _underscore
- Run a Tools Recalculate Hyperlinks and see if the hidden folders still show

Thanks for the reply Stefan. I tried it and it didn't help.

However the problem is not with hidden folders but with hidden
information files (of my own creation, that I put in the Site Folder,
with the hidden-attribute set). I can see the hidden files even
though I have un-checked the "Show hidden files". I do not want to see
the hidden files.

For example, if I create a file called SiteNotes.txt and put it in the
WebSite folder with the "hidden" file attribute set, I can still see
it in the folder list.

If you have another suggestion I would appreciate it.

Best Regards,

C.R.

There is no Hidden Attribute for files or folders in FP
- they are all visible in FP except for files in any _hidden folders if you set the Show hidden files and folders flag

Ok, I think I understand. FP defines a hidden file as one beginning
with an "_"

It ignores the "hidden" file attribute and only uses the "_".

Thanks for the help.
