FP2000 - hyperlink to perform multiple actions

Say, there are 3 frames in the frame page. I have the thumbnail picture shown
in the 1st frame(Top). The 2nd (bottom Left) is to show the full-size
picture. The 3rd frame (bottom right) is to show the related information and
links of the picture.

I am just wondering if the following can be achieved

1. By just one click on the thumbnail, the 2nd and the 3rd fames will be
shown with the full-sizepicture and the related information automatically?

2. when navigating to a different page (in the 1st frame (Top), e.g. from
the Product page to the Home page. Can the 2nd and 3rd frames be
automatically refreshed with a blank page.

That is what I want for my first scenario.

Unsure how to automatically (i.e. without clicking or manual action) to
refresh the two frames when navigating to a different page.

Since Java is best avoided, and JavaScript is (more or less) universally
accepted, I would guess that JavaScript is the better choice.
