FP2000 publishing problem

Dennis Allen

Hi. I was wondering if someone could help me. I have a local copy of a web
site. I use an application that generates external *.js files to this local
copy. When I publish this local copy to the main web site, my FrontPage
can't seem to tell when any of these js files got updated. I usually have
to delete these js files, publish, then create a new set of js files and
publish again.

Isn't there's some sort of file update option in FP2000? Oh, problem. The
web site has a 50Mb catalog of images. If I run this update procedure,
would I have to republish all these images? Any advice would be
appreciated...Dennis

The files must be imported in the current web, not copied or modified
directly within the web via application other than FP.

Thanks for the reply.

So what do I need to do? Open the current local web site, deleted the
current set of *.js files, then highlight and drag the new set of *.js files
from another folder into the web folder?

How do you hightlight a set of *.js files in FP2000? Unlike a windows
folder, using [Ctrl] or [Shift] doesn't seem to work...Dennis

Switch to Folder View, then you can select a group of files.
