FP2002 Default Documents

My ISP recently upgraded the server to Sever 2008/IIS7. When they published
my website to the new server the home page was renamed from index.stm to
index.htm. When I tried to rename the home page via FrontPage 2002 back to
index.stm it was changed to default.htm. I have since learned that index.stm
and default.stm were not in the default documents list at the time my web was
published.

I have added both index.stm and default.stm to web.config but when I rename
default.htm to default.stm FP takes my home page out of the navigation
structure. How do I get my home page to be default.stm? Note: Default.stm is
the first name in the list.

Also, is the default document list case sensitive?

Is .stm set in Configure editor to be edited by FP
If so, in folder list right click default.stm and select Set as home page and drag your other pages under it in Nav view

Yes, stm is set in Configure editor. I have other stm pages in the web that
work just fine.

When I do "Set as Home Page" FP renames it back to Default.htm. It almost
appears as though the default document list in web.config file is not
supported by FP2002 SP3. Is it possible that FP is just referencing the
server level config file?

Unless you reset it to something else it uses the sequence set in IIS document file names properties
- usually default.htm

How does FP determine what the home page name should be?

Would that be the web.config file in IIS7? It almost appears as though the
default document list in web.config file is not supported by FP2002 SP3. Is
it possible that FP is just referencing the server level config file?
