FP2002 Hyperlinks "Jump" When Clicked

Hi,

I'm having a problem with hyperlinks that don't want to be clicked.

Using FP2002, I've published a website and blog with no problems, in a
columnar format, using a lot of tables. They resize dynamically
depending on your browser specs and the whole thing works well.

Except for one extremely annoying glitch.

When you click on a hyperlink, it "moves", typically shifting
temporarily to the next line. And you don't actually follow the
hyperlink until you click it a second time, from it's new position.

All the hyperlinks on the whole page do this. Any ideas? Right now
the effect is unprofessional.

Do you have your "enable rollover" option turned on?
If you do , that could cause your text to jump when you hover over a link.

Dr. Bombay,

Thanks for your note, I would like to know what "enable rollover"
refers to -- I can't find this feature and have also looked in help.

HOWEVER, maybe it is related to a "style", as follows -- which is the
answer. If you can reply however about this mysterious rolloever
thing, that would be good.

A friend of mine also did some research, and came up with the
definitive answer. The following information solves the problem, so
anyone else searching for this problem, will be able to:

The problem is in the "style" defined for active hyperlinks, and the
simplest solution is to delete the style (which it seems to me is not
necessary). To do this:

- open your HTML page (index.htm)
- go to the Normal view
- on the Format menu, select Style
- delete the style "a: active"

Do a google search for "hyperlink rollover"

You'll find the answer in the top listings
