Hello Group
Thanks in advance to all that reply.
I have a desktop computer running XP PRO, IIS (host for my site I'm
developing) with SE 2002, and frontpage 2002, and the computer name is
Desktop1 .
I also have a laptop running XP PRO and frontpage 2002 and both pc are
network together on a home network.
All is working fine on the desktop pc:
- I'm able to use IIS to host a website that I'm developing
- use Frontpage 2002 to develop the site.
My problem is that I would like to use FP on the laptop to do some of the
development.
But when I
"Open web..." / My Network places / desktop1(computer name) / to open the
website I get window "Connect to desktop1" prompting for a username and
password. The username is grayed out and I can't update it (it's defaulting
to "Desktop1\Guest"). I have to cancel and then I get the error you do not
have permission to access this web folder location.
How do I setup the authority on a home network for this?
desktop running IIS hosting
second machine running frontpage for development.
Thanks again to all who reply
